Discover the captivating flavor of the First Edition of Banyan Alliance’s ethical and organic chocolate born from the collaboration of the NGO One Action and the members of the CTA association. A strong and powerful character linked to the unique flavor of the cocoa bean from Los Ríos in Ecuador give this 81.8% cocoa dark chocolate its full personality. The original recipe of the First Edition was elaborated by the Swiss Master Chocolatier Marc-André Cartier.
Inspired by the voices of cocoa farmers wishing to challenge an unbalanced system, three different worlds came together. An environmental and educational NGO (OneAction), active members of the commodity trading industry (CTA), and Marc-André Cartier, a Swiss chocolate artisan, joined hands to create an innovative, fair and ethical chocolate: Banyan Alliance.
Our name honours the emblematic Banyan tree and reflects the main values at the heart of this project: Interconnectivity & Solidarity, Unity & Circularity, Sharing & Empowering.
